I have worked for over 20 years behind the camera as a writer and producer for short and long format content in Miami, Florida. I went on to work independently in 2017.
Since then, I produced and directed a short documentary about the aftermath of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico - “La Perla After Maria”. The short was selected by film festivals around the world, including the HBO - New York Latino Film Festival and the Annual Copenhagen Film Festival; winning the top category in Seattle, finalist in Austin, and earning a prize for cinematography at the European awards.
There are a few scripts for fiction and a couple of concepts for non-fiction formats in my virtual drawer. The flow of ideas coming from my mind is constant and genre agnostic: drama, comedy, documentaries and game shows. Human interest is the main focus of my work. Working with documentaries, I wish to shed focus on my many interests, hoping to reveal something unique about the subject matter and evoke a moment of reflection.
I was born in Venezuela and lived in the United States for 27 years. I spent 5 treasured years in Puerto Rico and now split time between Germany and the US.
